Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach reading and language arts to 42 sweet, excited, energetic and diverse learners. Including students with special needs, with various disabilities including Autism, Physical Impairments, and Speech / Language delays. All my students belong to low income families.They receive free breakfast and lunch. Some of them are still missing personal belongings due to Hurricane Harvey.
Despite obstacles, they are always eager to learn and do their best, by coming to school with a happy face.
My students are at different reading and writing levels, but they are working together to grow and keep on learning every day.
My Project
My students have different learning styles. I would like to accommodate them according to their individual needs. I need Wobble Chairs , stools , and Lap Desk Tray for my super active students who have difficulty sitting still for long periods of time. This seating option will provide a bouncy and more comfortable option to sit-on instead of the hard chairs that we currently have. I am sure this will motivate my students to do their daily independent reading and writing activities. The rolling storage and the printer ink will be very helpful to create workstations with visual aids, keeping them organized and easy to move around. Please help me to provide my students with the resources they need for a successful school year.
