My Students
My students are awesome! They have unique learning strengths and challenges.
This year I will be service students with special educational plans in the general educational setting.
My kiddos will be in Grades 2 and 4. I will support Math, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies learning. You will never see a sweeter group of kids that try so very hard. Because School and assignments are often times difficult they get so proud when they master a skill. I provide extra practice, present material in different ways to develop mastery. One 4th grade student said proudly “I never got an A before!” With the right tools and practice it can be done!
We are a school in Logan Square in Chicago that celebrates diversity and inclusion. We are a Title 1 school. Many students are English Language Learners.
My Project
My students all have unique learning strengths and challenges. They need frequent review of the skills taught In their inclusive classroom. Children today are living in a world of technology. My project brings the technology (laptops) and headphones into the classroom.
The laptops will provide extra practice in Math.
Students will be able to practice what they have learned through extra practice to develop mastery of the funadational skills. Apps can make learning fun. The laptops would do just that- make review fun!
The laptops would also be used for extra Reading practice, using apps such as Reading A-Z. Audio books help my students with lower reading levels to read and understand what their peers are reading. The audio books can provide audio and visual support to aid understanding.
