Special Education Supports

Help me give my students a variety of sensory and social-emotional tools. We are looking to build out our supply of sensory toys and tools as well as items to help with social-emotional learning.

My Students

Our school is a diverse community of learners from many different backgrounds and abilities. They are incredibly curious, loving, and enjoy exploring new materials. They come to school each day with tons of energy and willingness to engage.

Despite any challenges my students may face both in and out of the classroom, they come to school each day with an eagerness to learn and have fun.

They know our classroom is a safe space to explore, make mistakes, and learn together. I am so excited of all the things we will accomplish together as a team!

My Project

These items will help reach a wide variety of learners. I am looking to help students be able to focus during the day and providing the right supports to allow them to do so. The wiggle cushions, lap pads, and bounce bands for the chairs are awesome resources for our students to learn engagement strategies.

I am also seeking activities to help build upon critical fine-motor skills for my students.

The games that focus on using finger muscles to complete tasks will help my students have fun while developing grasping skills necessary for writing tasks in the future.

Lastly, I am looking to help my students with social-emotional learning. They are lucky enough to have a lot of play built into their days, and I am looking to enhance their skills with texts to support their social growth.
