My Project
Our school is made up of a diverse population that varies across race, ethnicity, and capabilities. We have learners that are in general education classrooms all the way to self-contained. Our goal is to make sure that all learners have the opportunity to succeed.
Some of our learners have special needs meaning that might require special tools to help succeed.
Sometimes we have students that may need a place to go to meet their sensory needs.
The self-contained teachers of our school have decided that we would love to have a sensory room that students could go to and use as needed. Some items include a tonies box for sound, texture mats for touch, an ice tray for taste, and books for sight!
