This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My mission is to provide special education students the very best education possible and get them ready not just for high school, but the work force. I will be working with students with emotional disabilities and learning disabilities during this upcoming school year and need your help!

I have several projects I am planning.

Each project deals with technology, literacy and mathematics in some form. Two examples of these projects include: Kid Chef and Lakeview SWAGalicious. Kid Chef is a play on Master Chef, where students learn about fractions, decimals and percents, along with unit conversions. They will not only cook, but create a video to showcase their mathematical knowledge. Lakeview SWAGalicious is a fun content creation project where student get to create swag for the school, find cost analysis, and present to the “sharks” (administrative team and community members). students will create commercials for swag and then sell the swag as a fundraiser for the school.

We need your assistance in providing a few key ingredients to make the experience the very best it can possibly be! This group of Lakeview Lions are in need of microphones to record their commercials and videos for the schools social media, headphones for editing, a green/blue screen for video creation, and a cooktop to complete Kid Chef. With your help, you could impact not just the students on my team, but the entire school and community! Students are learning life-long social skills, soft skills, and how to collaborate effectively.
