Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Despite so many hardships, my students come in each day eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.

I teach special education students, grades kindergarten through third.

Our school is in an inner city in Arizona. All students in our school receive free breakfast, snack, and lunch. Our students are very sweet and polite. Many of them come from troubled backgrounds, and many students move frequently.

My Project

These products will help my students for years to come.

My students need help to identify the beginning sounds in words.

Game pieces often go missing. Velcro will help to better organize games to show students where pieces go.

One of my students loves anything to do with Minnie Mouse. This puzzle will help motivate her in the classroom.

My students often lack the ability to count. The math learning mats will help students learn to identify and count numbers.

Special education students often lack the ability to read fluently because they can't identify sight words. These materials will help students learn sight words that they are unfamiliar with.
