Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students need many tools to succeed in school. I am asking for basic supplies to help my special education students shine.

I teach a 12:1:1 special education class.

My students love learning and are always asking "what are we going to learn today?" They ask many questions and try to soak up as much in one day as possible. This project will inspire them to keep learning and asking questions everyday.

My Project

Each week, students choose books to read. The requested book baggies will keep their books in a secure place and inspire them to read everyday. For homework each week, students are given one Weekly Reader article. I love that these articles are a great mix of fiction and non-fiction.

My project is so important because I want the best for my students.

They are bright, sweet students who deserve the best from me, and from themselves. This project will not only make them feel great, but inspire them to learn more.
