My Students

The school's neighborhood is diverse linguistically, culturally, and socioeconomically. Some of the languages these students speak at home are Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Vietnamese, and Cape Verde Creole. Our school is a large K-8 school in the district.

In terms of English language development (ELD), students are beginners or intermediate, and receive ESL services from me for support of their academic English in the domains of reading, listening, speaking, and writing.

I also provide special education services for students. Students in my classroom are English learners (ELs).

My Project

This project will help my students who are all on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Our classroom basic need is for students to have the option to use the AirPods Pro. This resource is a good resource to help students be able to focus on academic learning.

The AirPods have noise cancellation which can help my students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) be able to block out loud sounds to be able to concentrate on completing their work.

This resource will be available for students to use at the quiet center in the classroom. It will support student goals as outlined in their IEPs.
