This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are high functioning special education students. A high percentage of my students are struggling academically. A big portion of my students have high energy and have a hard time sitting down for long periods of time. They are easily distracted and need constant prompting and redirection to get them back on track. A lot of students use use and love technology more than average student. I am always looking for any opportunity to enrich these students to make them overall better student and human being.

My Project

This is an opportunity for special education to have a different learning opportunity. Education is constantly changing and so is technology. Technology is more and more apart of our daily lives. This is an engaging opportunity where students will have the opportunity to code drones, and learn how to think critically how to solve different obstacle course as a way to learn. This is as will be used as a positive reinforcement for good behavior in school. I want to also use the drones to start an after school program. A lot of my students come from disadvantage backgrounds and can use an opportunity to not only make school a fun place but most importantly to learn!!!!
