Special Education Middle School Science Classroom - Life Sized Skeleton

Help me give my students the opportunity to see what their skeleton and bones look like with this life sized skeleton.

My Project

The study of body systems (skeletal, respiratory, circulatory, etc. ) is a science teaching standard in Indiana. This project will have the science students searching for the different bones in the body and since the skeleton is 5'2" tall the kids will see first hand how big (or small) their own bones might be. This project will also show the kids where different organs are located within their bodies. This first-hand experience of being able to compare themselves to a realistic sized skeleton will heighten their learning and understanding of the state's standards and their own bodies. This hands-on approach will help the kids remember the state's standards forever, because they will be able to relate the learning to their own skeleton. As a Special Education Teacher, teaching science, my classroom is not stocked with all the needed scientific supplies for my students to explore the topics. I would like to give my students the hands-on experience of seeing and touching this life sized skeleton. Thank you for your consideration.
