Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students in my self-contained classroom are working on life skills and being more independent learners. We are working to improve our communication skills through play.

Included in my wishlist are adaptive scissors to help my students improve their cutting skills, money magnets to teach money skills and coin and dollar recognition.

Sight word flashcard for sight words, money and other academics. Visual timers to help with academic stations for students to know concepts of time. We have a morning meeting every morning to promote a classroom community for Social Emotional Learning. The communication starters and morning meeting cards will be used for that daily time! I have added toys to help my students learn through fun and interactive play. Also included are balls for recess to improve gross motor skills along with physical therapy IEP goals!

Please help my special education classroom! We appreciate this so much! Being a special education teacher working with students with intellectual disabilities it is important to keep the students engaged in their learning. This will help me keep the students having fun while learning!
