Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students need a place to turn in their homework assignments and pick up papers for home. Without an organizational structure, the entire classroom gets cluttered daily!

The students in my classroom are primarily English language learners from low income urban background.

Most of the students are Latino and many also have a Native American heritage. A minority of the students are Vietnamese. A few students are RSP. They attend a school with a bilingual program and are very eager to learn. We focus on developing our English language abilities through science and social studies content. The students love art and completing projects to demonstrate their learning.

My Project

The organizational items request will greatly enable our classroom to stay organized. This will streamline the process of turning in assignments in the morning. Additionally, these organizational items will be used to ensure students who were absent received all materials that were given out the day before. Keeping organized will help me keep track of students work more easily as well as keeping our daily hands outs uncovered by student homework that was just turned it! An organized room is far more efficient than an cluttered room after all. Having these materials will set a great example for students to see what organization is and why it is so important!

With these organizers, our classroom will be much neater and less cluttered.

It will help both the students and me work smoothly and efficiently during the day. Lastly, it will help set an example of what organization should be like and why it is so important! It will inspire students to be more organized themselves!
