My students need a "mailbox" to use as a homework organizer.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Recall wanting to be the "kid" who passed back graded papers? Did your teacher make the pleasant (and sometimes unpleasant) delivery of school papers? Or did you just find a "stack of stuff" left on your desk in the morning and wonder how it got there?
My urban fifth graders have mixed emotions when it comes to getting papers back.
Of course, they don't want their buddies to see the scores (unless it was great). Watching their reactions can be both hilarious and heart-breaking at the same time. Do the papers get stuffed in desks, thrown in trash cans or carried home in backpacks? Meanwhile, keeping privacy is difficult because kids are naturally nosy at this age!
My Project
Passing papers back is quite time consuming. If our class could have a large mailbox/literature organizer, then it could be done in a more efficient process. Students would not have to be subjected to the the "What'd ya get?" syndrome of their peers.
We would definitely consider you an angel if you would fund this proposal.
Students would have privacy to view graded lessons without being scrutinized by classmates. It would be a more practical way to distribute work to my students.
