The school where I teach is a Title I School and we are very diverse, serving students from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
My students are highly engaged in their work- and love art class- and I love them! Thank you so much!
My Project
In my classroom, just like classrooms across the country, the pandemic has changed the way school looks for my K-5 learners. What hasn't changed is their love of art, whether we are learning remotely through Zoom lessons, or face to face at half capacity, the kids love art! The materials that I am requesting will help me to make art more accessible for my learners with special needs, so that they can focus on their creativity!
As you can imagine the changes have been tough for my students, but they can be even tougher for students with special needs- so what better way to tackle that than by making my time with them extra fun with cool supplies!
I have students with accommodations mixed in every class that I teach in addition to a dedicated class, so the supplies will be spread throughout my curriculum for maximum impact! I have plans for mixed media lessons, drawings, paintings and so much more! My students will enjoy using the adaptive materials and be able to focus on creating their ART!
