Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are either native English speakers learning Spanish or non-native English speakers who are learning English. Almost 80% of all my students are from low-income families. The school has 1/3 of the students who are English Language Learners.

Research has shown that when students work on the speaking component of language, there are benefits to all other areas of language learning.

My students hesitate when first trying to speak out loud in front of others and this project will help ease that initial anxiety.

My Project

The effective use of a good microphone can be an essential part of the language classroom. I work in a school with lower income students. The ability to provide them with quality microphones for them to practice their speaking skills is extremely important as they work to apply their language learning to the spoken word.

We will be using these microphones in ways that allow students to practice and share their language learning and development.

These quality microphones do a great job of providing a high quality recording that will help build the confidence of the students by giving a clear recording for them.
