This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My school demographics are greater than one-half African Americans. The students are excited to learn what I teach, however we are at a school that does not have the funds to provide needed accessories for the limited laptops, chrome books, and computers that our students sometimes have access to.
I would like for the students to enter a classroom that excites them about their learning.
My Project
Students will practice their reading and speaking skills using these headphones with microphones. They will be using a computer program that will allow them to play back and listen to their pronunciation. This will help them know which words they need to work on for better pronunciation and fluency. Our children are shy, they enjoy reading, this will allow them to read out loud privately and listen to their own reading and speaking. The teacher will also be able to listen to the recordings and help the students with phonics and pronunciation.
