These materials will enhance student learning and my ability to deliver quality lessons as it will allow me to more easily manipulate the computer to enhance the lessons. The request for the workbooks will give students practice. The school provides the textbook, however, workbooks are not in the school's budget. It is essential that students have the opportunity to practice what they learn in the classroom and from the textbook. Students learning a new language need to experience a print-rich environment. I am requesting materials for bulletin boards as well as charts that students can use for everyday quick reference. I will use these as opportunities to practice and reinforce essential vocabulary as students learn a new language. Additionally, as this school is in an inner-city neighborhood and students come from a diverse and mostly difficult environment, it is essential that they come to a positive, productive and welcoming classroom.
