My Students

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful group of Kindergartners. They are loving, kind, and compassionate. They are such hard workers and just absolutely love learning!

My students LOVE learning through hands-on activities and are so excited to try new things; we are able to do so much because they are so passionate about their learning.

It melts my heart to see such a love for school at such a young age! They get so excited over the simplest activities. It is so fun to be able to expose them to how much fun school can be!

My Project

Today we live in a world of iPads, tablets, phones, video games, and TV time. As a teacher I see students who are not given a chance to be creative at home. They are allowed so much screen time that they do not have an opportunity to build their imagination.

I want to help spark my students' imagination to create endless possibilities that my not be possible at home.

Each of the art materials I selected give students the chance to draw, build, and create whatever they want. I love to have an art center out each day, but do maintain their interest I need lots of materials. We are requesting things like oil pastels, gel crayons, glitter glue are not things children may typically get to use and it will allow them to be artists in a totally different way.

Kindergarteners love to play so I also selected various "toys" that will help my students play outside of the back. Each item will help them explore, design, and create to plug into their creative side. Things like the bendable sculpting sticks and caterpillar building blocks allow them to create and play in a fashion they may not get to at home.

I love providing experiences that will help them discover a side of themselves they may not have known existed.
