My Project
As a result of the pandemic, many of the students are behind in their reading. A lot of them are hesitant to even pick up books because "there are too many hard words." I want my students to want to read. To help them get started, we've been reading Dog Man in class and they absolutely love it! I have one set of books, but they are constantly checked out. I'd like to add more Dog Man books for my students to explore and read on their own.
We are so lucky to have custodians, but sometimes there are big messes that can't wait until the end of the day to be cleaned up.
Having a vacuum in our room will help us clean up our messes quicker and save the custodian from having to sweep a lot.
We are currently reading The Wild Robot as our class chapter book. I would love to have a class set of the second book for my students to enjoy after. This book allows us to have serious conversations about topics to support their mental well-being.
