Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am looking to give my 6th graders a class subscription to Scholastic News Magazine. This physical magazine will benefit my students learning by giving them something tangible that they’re allowed to mark-up or manipulate to use for various projects and activities which they cannot always do with curriculum.
I want to give my students age appropriate material that is high interest and relevant so they will develop better reading habits and become engaged with our learning.
My students are part of a Title 1 school, over half of our students are socioeconomically disadvantaged.
