This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"All the traditional STEM fields, the science, technology, engineering, and math fields, are stoked when you dream big in an agency such as NASA."
Neil deGrasse Tyson
I am a prekindergarten teacher at an elementary school in North Carolina.
Most of the children attending this school come from low-income families, so it is important to me to provide my students with quality hands-on materials. In my class there are 12 four- and five-year-old children who are eager to learn and thrive in an environment that is conducive to learning. I am writing this proposal in an effort to obtain funding for an iPad, POP games, math file folder games, number pebbles, and other STEM resources.
My Project
My students will use the iPad to enhance their technology skills as well as explore STEM concepts while using various apps. Some of the science and math applications include Marvelous, Simple Machines, STEM islands, and STEM Honey Story. My students will reinforce listening, counting, and early addition and subtraction skills with the POP math games, the math file folder games, the number pebbles, and other STEM materials.
With help from donors like you, this proposal will make a difference in the lives of my current students as well as students I will have in the future.
Thanks again for taking the time to read my proposal; my students and I appreciate it.
