My students need 3D Doodler Pens to help them understand the process of 3D printing and how it connects to STEAM careers.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Ballou's classroom raised $752

My Students
Our school has a long history embedded into the community we serve. Students are excited to attend school where many of their parents and even grandparents went before them. I have an exciting opportunity to start a STEAM Resource program for the first time! When you walk into my classroom you won't see students sitting in desks diligently taking notes, instead you'll see students brainstorming ideas, drawing images, building models, testing their solution, and more!
My students are spunky, inquisitive, and hardworking.
"I never knew school could be this fun!" a student shouted to a group member as they were working on a STEAM project. It is moments like these that push me to ensure that my students always have opportunities for hands-on, real-life learning experiences. It is wonderful donors, like yourself, that can help me to provide these experiences to our youngest learners!
My Project
"Look what we can do when we persevere!" a student shouted across the room. Hearing students so engaged with their work makes me excited to work in my STEAM classroom each day. Students are learning about commitment to a task, even when it's difficult. I want to be able to extend their learning with more hands-on technology. In the future these students will be using technology that hasn't even been invented yet. The 3D Doodler Pens are an example of this exact technology that I hadn't even heard of until recently, and I want to be able to provide my students with the most up-to-date technology in my classroom.
The exciting part about the 3D Doodler pens is that it is applicable across grades K - 5!
Too often, we focus on technology in the upper elementary areas, but these pens are perfect for our youngest learners too. It will allow them to bring their wildest of dreams to life right before their eyes. A quote from Journey into Imagination with Figment at Disney World's Epcot comes to mind when I imagine all of the creations that students can make, "A dream can be a dream come true, with just that spark in me and you!" I can already see students connecting their learning concepts that they're studying in their homeroom classes. For example, kindergarten students can design 3D shapes, letters, and numbers, while older students can create products, such as artifacts that could be found in Jamestown or parts to help their engineering projects come to life. I cannot wait to experience all of the "sparks" that students create when we're able to get this technology in their hands!
