Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are mostly freshman. I teach world geography. There is a lot to learn! They are interested in learning about different places and people. They do not have a lot of travel under their belts and do not know a lot about other parts of the world.
Although they do not have a lot of experience with new people or places, they are willing to learn.
My students need motivation and fun engaging lessons to keep them inspired. They are, however, willing to go the extra mile for teachers they have a strong connection with. I aim to build relationships with them so that I can encourage them to do the best they can in school and in life!
My Project
My students will need many supplies to make it through this year. Freshman students usually have a hard time just making the transition to high school and getting used to all the responsibility that comes along with that!
I need them to have the supplies they need to be creative and make learning fun!
I am requesting markers, colored pencils, folders, glue, pens, pencils and erasers.
My students will not be able to engage fully in the lessons I have planned without these supplies. They are unable to bring all of these supplies from home. Your help will go a long way in making sure they get the most out of their education. I keep them making projects and being creative so they stay engaged in the learning process.
