This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our after school Lego club is in need of more inventory. This is the first year for our club. At our middle school there was a need for a safe place for kids who weren't into sports to be creative and socialize with others. We got off to a good start, but we found we needed more to offer our students to keep their interest going.

We are looking to resupply our club with new and exciting Lego sets.

We need to spark interest in our club with new students as well as motivating our currents members to keep coming back.

These Lego sets will allow students to work independently or collaboratively, depending on their needs and interests. In both cases, the time they spend also fills a social needs with these kids and gives them a chance to just have fun and play.
