it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have 25 amazing students in my classroom who could benefit from having access to materials they can use for imaginative play. My classroom is made up of a diverse population that includes English language learners and students with special needs. Our school is a title one school and all students receive breakfast and free or reduced lunch. The school is located in a low income area of El Cajon. The funding for our classrooms is very limited, however; we continuously strive to provide our students with the materials they need.
My Project
The materials you help donate to will help my students explore the world of dramatic play. In kindergarten I believe that students need to be able to explore the idea of using their imagination aside from academic requirements. We have a time allotted for center time where students are able to explore using hands-on activities. They are collaborating with one another to build towers, working together to put a puzzle together, or learning how to be a chef. In our district we have a program called world of world where the students are exploring different jobs and seeing where their interests are. These dramatic play items will help them explore those different interests.
By fulfilling our wishlist you are providing Kindergarten students with the opportunity to explore and discover their own imagination through dramatic play.
A lot of students do not have opportunities to use their imaginations and explore their interests and by using these materials they will get the opportunity to do so.
