Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are wonderful, resilient, young people who work hard each day to overcome the challenges of learning a new language. They strive every day to learn and grow as readers. I want to do all I can to foster enthusiasm for reading
Our students are always looking for books on new topics at their reading level to help them progress as readers when they visit the library each week.
Your donation will enable to students to have access to engaging books that they can't wait to dive into.
My Project
When our students visit the library each week, we want to provide them with the best reading materials. This can present a challenge with ever tightening budgets. With your donation, students will have greater access to high quality, high interest books on non-fiction topics. The books you will be providing are quick reads with simple vocabulary and high quality illustrations. These features will help growing readers to build confidence and nurture their love of reading. Our students love coming to the library and with your help, they will continue to grow as readers. Thank you for considering a donation to our project.
