Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a school librarian, I am passionate about fostering a love for reading in my students. My library is a space where students from all backgrounds can explore new worlds, build literacy skills, and develop their imaginations. I am requesting the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series (Books 1-19) because these relatable, humorous stories captivate even the most reluctant readers and encourage them to keep turning the pages. These books will make a significant difference in helping my students discover the joy of reading, strengthening their comprehension, vocabulary, and confidence along the way.

This project aims to provide my students with access to a complete and updated Diary of a Wimpy Kid series.

Many of my students eagerly seek out these books, but our library doesn’t have enough copies to meet their demand. These titles will not only boost engagement but also help me create opportunities for group discussions, independent reading challenges, and book clubs.

My students are curious, creative, and enthusiastic about learning. They deserve access to books that inspire them to grow as readers and thinkers. Your support will help me create a vibrant reading environment where all students feel included and motivated to succeed.
