My Project
The 3rd Grade Aloha Stars are unique with passion and purpose to spread kindness and solve real world problems to create a healthier and happier world. Through the Covid-19 pandemic, learners experienced remote learning and online) isolation; thus lacking positive relationships to collaborate and work empathetically with others, inclusive of everyone including those with differing perspectives. Importantly, trusting relationships are foundational to learning and leading so intentional activities that foster cooperation are ideal to awaken and strengthen skill sets. Using the Lego sets, my students will expand their creativity through communication, collaboration, integrity, practicing accountability, respect for others, goal setting, and problem solving to design their visions of a dream community. They will apply the 21st Century thinking skills to build self-confidence and self-image to lead their learning with compassion to group dynamics and community engagement. I feel honored to be their teacher and I desire to provide meaningful and purposeful experiences to foster trusting relationships, learning, engagement, and equitable student success.
