My Project

Integrating art in the classroom has brought out a side to my students that they can't express in other ways. They are engaged, happy and work well together when we create. By donating to this project, you will be funding classroom supplies that can be used by everyone and help offset the costs of art supplies not provided by our school. Most of our art projects are paid for by me! I am excited to begin a science/art project this spring growing plants and painting their pots and painting birdhouses. My students come from a low income rural area and they delight in bringing home handmade projects. I often see them gift the creations to their loved ones.

Art brings students together.

They consult each other, make plans together, brainstorm and work toward creating their masterpiece. Students of every ability can make art even if they struggle in other areas of school.
