Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are living in an area hard hit by COVID-19. They are struggling to get food to eat and technology to complete their learning. They miss school and their friends.
My students are sharing their tablets or school iPads, if they have received them.
Some are struggling to use their parents phones but have limited data to check our Google Classroom.
My Project
My students will use these supplies to spark their imagination and creativity. They can read and create paintings, pictures, and art work while staying safe at home. My students have limited resources to escape the scary world around them. This will provide them the opportunity to create their own world and way to escape reality. I will post activities they can do own Google Classroom using the materials they will have access to. The activities will match what we are learning in class. We will discuss the books in our Google Meets.
