Many of you use printers at home, but in a school setting, especially for students who are learning English, having access to high-quality color printing opens up opportunities that go far beyond everyday worksheets.\r\n\r\nColor printing has become an essential support for our English language learners. Visuals are incredibly important for students who are building vocabulary and language skills. With the new printer, we can create vibrant picture dictionaries, anchor charts, labeled diagrams, and color-coded materials that help students connect new English words to clear images. This has made lessons more accessible and has helped students understand and retain new concepts more easily.\r\n\r\nThe students are thrilled to see their own work printed in color. Many of them come from classrooms where resources were limited, so having their writing, projects, and artwork printed in bright, clear colors feels special and motivating. They love seeing their bilingual projects, graphic organizers, and illustrated stories come to life on paper—it gives them a sense of pride and accomplishment that encourages them to keep practicing their English.\r\n\r\nSome of our quieter English language learners have shown the biggest growth. One student who often hesitated to participate is now more engaged because color-coded vocabulary cards and visuals help them follow along with lessons more confidently. Another student who struggled with writing has become excited to create illustrated storybooks that we print and share with the class. The color printer has given them tangible, beautiful products they feel proud to show others—something that boosts both language use and confidence.\r\n\r\nYour support has brought color, clarity, and confidence to our English language learners. Thank you for helping make their learning more accessible, engaging, and joyful.","fullyFundedDate":1758899046804,"projectUrl":"project/learning-language-in-color/9704398/","projectTitle":"Learning Language in Color","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Navarro","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7478139"},{"teacherId":4089061,"projectId":9721807,"letterContent":"Our first graders have been absolutely energized by the new technology, especially as we began researching animals for our informational writing unit. Even though many of our donors use technology at home, they may not realize how intentionally it can support learning in early elementary classrooms. For our students, these tools have opened the door to real inquiry and made them feel like true researchers.\r\n\r\nWith the devices, our first graders can explore kid-friendly articles, photos, and short videos at their own pace. This is especially powerful in an ICT setting, where students have diverse learning needs. The technology allows them to listen to text read aloud, zoom in on images for closer observation, and rewatch clips to gather details. Instead of relying solely on teacher read-alouds, students are now able to gather facts independently, something that makes them feel incredibly proud.\r\n\r\nThe excitement is contagious when they discover a new fact or a surprising detail about their animal. Students love using the devices to pause, point, and say, \"Look what I found!\" They're thrilled that they can collect real information just like \"big-kid scientists.\" Many have been eager to show classmates interesting pictures or videos that support their writing, turning research time into lively collaboration.\r\n\r\nSome of our reluctant writers have shown the biggest growth. One student who often struggles to generate ideas became fully engaged once he could watch short videos of his animal and jot down facts he heard. Another student who needs reading support has been using the read-aloud feature to access information independently, which has done wonders for her confidence. These moments, seeing students light up because they can do it, are exactly why this technology matters so much.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, our first graders aren't just writing about animals, they're researching, analyzing, and communicating like young scholars. Thank you for giving them the tools to explore the world with curiosity and confidence.","fullyFundedDate":1758898784326,"projectUrl":"project/learning-loud-and-clear/9721807/","projectTitle":"Learning Loud and Clear!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Keenan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4089061_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758131503121","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4089061"},{"teacherId":1421718,"projectId":9602756,"letterContent":"These materials are giving my students the opportunity to do shared learning.
