I am a Spanish teacher at Crisp County High School, a Title 1 school located in South Georgia. Our school and school district have very limited resources for the World Languages Program and I am reaching out to you with an exciting opportunity that can truly make a difference in the lives of my students.
Reading is an integral part of the learning process.
It can not only help children acquire the target language in a more engaging and entertaining way, but it can also “take them places” and teach them about other cultures and customs thus making them more open and tolerant to other people.
I have chosen these three readers: EL CAPIRABA CON BOTAS, TUMBA & AGENTES SECRETOS Y EL MURAL DE PICASSO, all by Mira Canion because this author writes books in such a way that children don’t want to put them down. They read them in the target language (Spanish)!
By purchasing these sets of readers, you will be helping my students and will have a pivotal role in their transformative educational experience. Not only will this experience be one of my dreams come true, but also my students’, since you will provide them with an invaluable educational opportunity and the chance to learn and travel the world while reading in Spanish.
My goal is to offer these students a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will broaden their horizons, enhance their cultural understanding, and provide them with academic knowledge! By reading, they will be immersing themselves in different cultures, engaging in educational activities, and gaining perspectives that can't be found in textbooks alone.
