This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

What I love most about my students is that they are kind and respectful to each other. They all show dedication in improving their reading skills and practice how to be fluent readers in Spanish on a daily basis. It is evident that they enjoy Performing Arts especially when they do dance movements with music during Physical Education.

These 2nd grade Dual Immersion students practice reading in Spanish with accuracy, expression, pay attention to punctuation, and read at a proper rate while checking for understanding.

My Project

The wireless microphones will accentuate the students' Annual Reader's Theater Performance in Spanish. These 2nd graders rehearse through the year and perform a play depicting character's in American History such as Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Edison and Thomas Jefferson. In addition to the costumes, props, and backdrop, the audience will be able to clearly hear their voices and appreciate the overall performance as it comes alive!

The 2nd graders in the Spanish Dual Immersion program perform this Annual Reader's Theater Performance at the end of the year to showcase their fluency, demonstrate teamwork and stage presence, which parents, friends and family are invited to enjoy.
