Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our elementary school library currently lacks a diverse selection of Spanish-language books. This limits the ability of our Spanish-speaking students and those interested in Hispanic culture to find engaging and age-appropriate reading materials.
These books will cater to a variety of reading levels and interests, including adventure stories, historical fiction, and fantasy titles.
Benefits:
Promotes Bilingual Literacy: Students will be able to develop their reading skills in their native language, fostering a strong foundation for future learning.
Sparks Reading Joy: Engaging Spanish books will ignite a love of reading in our Spanish-speaking students, encouraging them to become lifelong learners.
