Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage month this year we will be reading about diverse cultural experiences and from home and across the Spanish speaking world. The majority of the students in my first grade class are bilingual and those who are not are excited to learn more about Hispanic culture.

These beautiful picture books (most of them newly released) will offer my students a mirror to see their cultures reflected as well as windows to see what is possible in their world.

This project will also allow me to purchase teacher created materials to further support literacy and social studies projects which celebrate Hispanic Heritage month.
