Spanish Edition Dual Literacy

Help me give my students an in class library where they can reference the spanish edition of the english novels we read to have a deeper understanding of our literacy goals.

My Project

My students love to read, however they are learning to read, write and speak English at the same time as learning their grade curriculum for ELA. I have found that providing students with the spanish novels encourages students to be more participatory in our class discussions regarding our readings in english. We read both the english version and the spanish version simultaneously so that we increase literacy and understanding in english. The classic literature graphic novels give students more reading time, understanding and enthusiasm about our curriculum topics which provides for a more enjoyable and educational experience.

My students and I really appreciate your caring and generous donation to our classroom.
