Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Spanish Class has been reinstated in our school, and the students love coming to Spanish class. Sadly, limited budgets have affected our Spanish class as well. It's my privilege to share my excitement for learning Spanish with my youngest students. I truly desire to enrich their Spanish class experiences through music, art, and games. I also teach English Language Learner students and they too can benefit from having all of these supplies available to them as well. These materials will help make a difference in students' learning experiences through play, and non-restrictive learning experiences. Sitting on a rug will allow my students to feel welcomed, and comfortable and learn in a similar space as to their homeroom class. Teaching language through the use of learning centers will allow different kinds of learners to stay engaged in learning for longer periods of time.
