This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These items will help my students see themselves represented in the stories that we read. I teach at a Spanish Immersion school and sometimes it is hard to find books in Spanish. These books will help the students start reading and listening to the stories in Spanish.
They will also allow them to learn about their culture and other cultures. Our school is located in Linda Vista where most of the families come from Spanish speaking households. These books will allow them to be proud of their culture and feel represented.
