My Students

My kindergarten students come to school with incredible enthusiasm for learning and they love to be engaged in hands-on activities. They come from a variety of backgrounds and, for some, it is their first school experience.

I teach at an International Baccalaureate Primary Years school with approximately 800 students in Pre-K through 5th grade.

Our curriculum focuses on student inquiry-based learning with a global perspective. Under my care is a group of wildly curious kindergarteners who are eager to learn and have fun.

My Project

Creating with LEGOS is an activity well-loved by children and is a great way for them to develop their creativity, social skills, and fine motor skills. My students need a large set of LEGOS that they can use to engage in imaginative play and to collaborate on STEM projects.

The 2 in 1 LEGO activity table will provide students with a designated area for building as well as two storage drawers built into the table where the blocks can be stored.

With 23 students, being able to effectively utilize our space is critical. The storage space will help us to better maintain our materials and having a designated area will allow me to improve our building space through the addition of STEM challenges, charts for constructing letters or numbers, and other sources of inspiration. Something I am especially excited about is the ability to convert the table from a building space to a usable flat surface where students can engage in writing or other educational activities.
