My Project

Working with middle schoolers is the best! Each day brings something new and fun to our room, and I love watching each of them navigate who it is they want to be.

This project will help support using the most of our small classroom space as well as provide some fresh options for indoor recess!

Our tiny classroom is filled with many bodies throughout the day. Having a smooth flow to allow students to access their own materials independently while also making the most of our space is essential. Having a small rolling table-- which can also serve as a workspace for collaborative groups-- is one way to make learning stations mobile! A two-tier file cart is an excellent storage option for my students' writing portfolios and reading assessment data.

Inside recess can sometimes be a drag, especially when our winter months call for it to happen frequently, so having fun, fresh options for the students to choose from would be amazing! I think a domino run would be a great option for students to work together and have fun while building on their STEM skills. Critical thinking games are always a hit, and my students LOVE to draw, so having access to a variety of drawing books that they can reference would be greatly appreciated!
