Space Force JROTC Rocket Project

Help me give my students an opportunity to have a hands-on project to learn about rockets and also earn a rocket badge for their uniform

My Project

We are a Space Force JROTC program. We provide a space-based STEM curriculum that also includes several hands-on labs that go with the materials the students are taught in class.

We are requesting Estes rockets and engines.

These items will be the hands-on lab that goes with the rocketry lesson we teach in class. Students will first learn about the history of rockets and then a lesson on how rockets work. Students will then build their own rockets in class with these kits, before launching and recovering them. In addition, by utilizing multiple engines, students will be able to perform multiple launch and recoveries which will allow them to also receive the JROTC Rocketry Badge for their cadet uniforms.
