Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have spunky little first grades that live in a very diverse population. My students come to me at many different levels. I have some that do not speak English and some that are very high. My goal is to get them all ready for second grade.
Our school is 51% free and reduced lunch, I also have 6 that receive food for their weekends to make sure they do not go hungry.
Also those 6 and about 8 more that receive free shoes and coats.
I would like to be able to give my students the education they deserve with the supplies they need. They do not have the opportunity to experience things like planting plants or even baking cakes I want to be able to give them those experiences.
The items on my list will give them the much-needed space and organization they need to learn.
