This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class is a combination of first and second Graders. Students have made it through a year of distance learning and a year of in-person attendance. We look forward to getting back to hands on experiences with our friends in which we can all be witnesses to life's beautiful miracles.

Many primary students love to get their hands in dirt and enjoy planting. With the garden seed assortment kit, students will start the germination process in the classroom, and then transfer it in our mobile garden bed. The garden bed's mobility will allow us to move it in and out of the classroom and and around the yard to provide light and shade. Students will have full access to observing their own seed germinate. Additionally, students will be able to observe the ladybug butterfly complete its metamorphosis in the classroom, later to be released in our school garden. Plant and insect experiences will help enhance both First and Second Grade Life Science standards.
