This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This will help us with our math understanding and projects for science! We love to do hands on activities and the manipulative chosen will be great for that. With COVID, many students are missing essential skills and concrete materials are a great way to build those foundations. We do a lot of science projects (something else that was missed with COVID), so I grabbed some supplies for that- we create models of atoms, show how compounds are made, and create scale models of the solar system. We do a lot of small group work so the stools are great to stay out of the way when not using. We are prioritizing our social emotional learning and the calming corner will be newly furnished through this project!
