Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students face huge challenges. Over 90% of our South Bronx students get government support. Yet, our students still thrive here! They are predominately from low-income households and most receive help from the government. We are in a high crime area.
Still, our students are dedicated, show up, and are ready to learn.
We far exceed the city's graduation rate! This is how much grit and desire our students have to be the best they can be. They just need support.
My Project
With the use of an iPad, we will be able to do fun team building safe activities for students to connect with each other.
Students coming back to school more than ever need social emotional training.
The best way to build mental health is to know you are not alone. By having rotating small groups, we can do restorative activities with the use of an iPad that will make things more fun. We can play games like charades and kahoot and do scavenger hunts.
By playing games, students will learn a lot about themselves and there peers.
