This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Most of my students live in subsidized housing and receive free lunch. They are a passionate and spirited bunch. Sadly many are way below their math levels. Many lack the motivation not cause they do not care, but because they are not at grade level and need tutoring.

We are a 6-12 school where over 90% of the students are TITLE 1.

The population mix is mostly Latino and African American. The students are very caring and dedicated but lack the resources that most students simply take for granted. Our school is a beacon of light in the SOUTH BRONX. Our student regents scores are some of the best in the BRONX.

My Project

Since my class size is 32 and many students are many grade levels behind, I need ways to tutor more students. Having this Tablet will allow students to do work in groups and have their progress tracked. The program will analyze the data and figure out where the students are stuck. This will help me truly help more students efficiently. I can now tutor them and assign computer based TUTORIALS and HW that is individualized. This will help students scores!

Many students fail math or act out not cause they are bad kids.

It is simply they need more remedial help to catch them up. With your donation, we can change the path of students and help them get excited about math. This will shape their future!
