This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students face huge challenges. We are in the poorest congressional district in the USA - in the South Bronx. Yet, our students still thrive here! They are predominately from low-income households and most receive help from the government. We are in a high crime area.
Still, our students are dedicated, show up, and are ready to learn.
We far exceed the city's graduation rate! This is how much grit and desire our students have to be the best they can be.
My Project
Challenging students simply do not have access to the same things as others. With this Dash coding robot, we can help students learn the skills of coding, a skill they need in this technological world. Many of our challenging students can do it, but no one has the extra time to help them! We are creating a club so we can teach them the basic skills to code. We need this coding robot with coding instructions to make this dream come alive and help the most needed students have the life skill they need to thrive and boost there self confidence.
