This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

As an English Language Arts (ELA) teacher, I'm constantly seeking innovative ways to integrate technology and creativity into our curriculum. A classroom speaker and a stool for instructional technology would be invaluable additions to our resources, allowing us to explore the intersection of language arts and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in new and dynamic ways.

With a speaker at our disposal, my students and I can embark on projects that combine storytelling with audio engineering, fostering a deeper understanding of narrative elements such as mood, tone, and setting.

Meanwhile, the stool for instructional technology will provide a dedicated space for me to facilitate interactive lessons, demonstrating the seamless integration of technology into our ELA curriculum. This stool will serve as a hub for exploring digital tools and resources, fostering collaboration, and enhancing student engagement in STEM-related activities.

By creating soundscapes to accompany literary works and utilizing instructional technology effectively, my students will not only strengthen their language skills but also develop technical proficiency in audio editing and production. This interdisciplinary approach will not only engage and inspire my students but also equip them with valuable 21st-century skills that are essential for success in today's world.
