Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is located in a farming based border town in Southern Arizona. We are also home to a military base. Many of our students come from migrant families with a low socioeconomic status, but that doesn't make them any less eager to learn!
My Project
Our school offers one to one iPads for our students which enables them to partake in personalized learning that matches their pace.
Headphones are needed to help make personalized learning effective with minimal outside distractions.
Many of our students come from migrant, low income households that can not afford good quality headphones for their student. While some students are able to supply their own headphones, many are not which makes concentrating harder due to the added distractions of multiple iPads at once. This project would ensure that each student has their own headphones better enabling them to focus on their learning.
