This bulletin board sound wall is much needed in our kindergarten class. Kinders learn by seeing and doing. We do not currently have a bulletin board to display our sound wall and student work on, and this is a vital resource in our classroom to make our students more independent in their reading and writing.
We will use this wall to display sounds and words associated with those sounds.
We will also use it to display our unit vocabulary for Wit & Wisdom. Visuals are one of the most significant teaching/learning tools for children. Our goal for this project is to help make our students better and more confident readers and writers.
Our students are special because they are all very diverse learners. They do not all learn the same way, but visuals are the key to success for all of them. This board could be all it takes to help some children go from just learning to read and write to being confident in their abilities!
With your help, we can make the magic of reading and writing a reality. There is no bigger blessing to a teacher’s heart than to hear a child learn to read, write a sentence and then for them to begin reading and writing with confidence.
